Reality sinks in as we start to understand how big this project really is. It’s crazy to think it has been so long since we’ve had a chance to track as a band in a professionally room. It's a big reminder very quickly of software upgrades, latest hardware, new techniques. Ultimately though when it comes to sound, is what it is. You have the "diamond captures" and you can also have "crap captures". We don't know where these stand in the bigger scheme of things yet. We are going to take a few days break and then listen with fresh airs and have a think about other things we may not be feeling right now. I'm glad this is the case. I'm exhausted and my glands have gone up again tonight. I don't know if it's stress but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm coming down with something. I hope not, I'm looking forward to playing the release party for pop punk band "Mishap" this weekend. I'm looking forward to catching up with, “The Gentlemen Callers” and of course congratulating the nice guys of “Mishap” on their release for “Hey Allie”. They are working really hard too, it’s fantastic to see a lot of the bands in our local scene going for their dreams. If you don’t know anything about this gig, live in the area and would like to come along, check out the poster below. Tickets are $10 online or $20 on the door. 😊👍
This business is not as easy as it sounds, we haven't been able to catch up with many people we care about for ages. Even our mates, Curlys Jewels have been out and about this year and have just finished the last league of their tour just before the cold kicks in. We all do it for various reasons, but for me, I do this because it makes me feel excited to be alive and kicking.
